We did it. Congrats to everyone involved – whether you donated, volunteered, attended HoHoTO or offered your support – for helping make this happen! Together we raised $30,000 for the YWCA Toronto’s Girls’ Centre.
According to Valerie Thompson, Events & Stewardship Officer of the YWCA Toronto, “Those funds will go a long way to helping inspire the girls we serve to achieve their dreams and become leaders.”
Davina, Summer and Alex are mentors in the YWCA Girls’ Council. They develop, plan and evaluate programs at the YWCA Girls’ Centre. Girls participate in special events, community outreach, advocacy and media initiatives.

To the HOHOTO Team:
Thank you for all your work in pulling off an amazing event and raising $30,000 for the Girls’ Centre! Those funds will go a long way to helping inspire the girls we serve to achieve their dreams and become leaders.
It was so great to see the tech community come out to support this initiative, and to see so many young professionals want to network with the girls and talk to them about careers in media, tech, or whatever field interested them. I know that this experience will stay with Davina, Alex, and Summer for many years to come.
Congrats on a job well done, and for mobilizing your community of supporters both at the event and on social media around advancing role of women in tech, and supporting YWCA Toronto’s Girls’ Centre.
Happy Holidays from our whole team!

Of course, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the collective awesomeness of the HoHoTO founders and other former committee members. Thank you to each and everyone one of them.
