More than $10,000 raised for the YWCA Toronto’s Girls’ Centre!

What a thrill HoHoTO 2017 was! Hundreds of individuals from digital communities in Toronto filled the Mod Club on December 8th for a night of food, fun, networking, and most importantly, fundraising for up and coming digital practitioners at the YWCA Toronto’s Girls’ Centre! Please select the video above for some of the feels.

Thank you! Learn about how your support helps the YWCA Toronto’s Girls’ Centre. Please let us know how you enjoyed the event by posting with the tag #hohoto or by email.

Many thanks to our sponsors below, The Mod Club, DJ Digital and DJ Neecy and our many volunteers such as Niya B, Mohammed Asaduallah, Kutty MD, Matthew Burpee, Caroline Dinnall and Lee Dale.

To the HOHOTO Team:

Thank you for all your work in pulling off an amazing event and raising $30,000 for the Girls’ Centre! Those funds will go a long way to helping inspire the girls we serve to achieve their dreams and become leaders.

It was so great to see the tech community come out to support this initiative, and to see so many young professionals want to network with the girls and talk to them about careers in media, tech, or whatever field interested them. I know that this experience will stay with Davina, Alex, and Summer for many years to come.

Congrats on a job well done, and for mobilizing your community of supporters both at the event and on social media around advancing role of women in tech, and supporting YWCA Toronto’s Girls’ Centre.

Happy Holidays from our whole team!

Of course, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the collective awesomeness of the HoHoTO founders and other former committee members. Thank you to each and everyone one of them.
