Save the date, HoHoTO returns to the Mod Club Dec.1

HoHoto December 1

The holiday event that brings Toronto’s digital community together is back and this is your early reminder to keep the night of Dec. 1 free!

HoHoTO is in full effect with another community party from 8pm to 2am. This is all in effort to continue connecting opportunity, diversity and innovation-driven organizations with women, youth, and minorities who are passionate about entrepreneurial, digital and engineering pursuits.

Last year, HoHoTO raised $30,000 from a combination of ticket sales and sponsorships. This year, we want to top that target! Sponsor and ticket revenue collected from this year’s event will go towards funding YWCA Toronto’s Girls’ Centre, the official charity partner of HohoTO.

The Girls’ Centre itself is a safe space for girls aged 9-18, of all ethnicities and belief systems. The girls have access to food, activities, and learning programs 7 days a week at the centre. They also have the chance to access opportunities in business and technology, which will be further encouraged by our collective participation.

On Dec. 1, dance, sing, and mingle in an atmosphere filled with hundreds of individuals from the digital leadership, marketing, design, and tech community. We’ll also inform you on the initiatives our organization has been working on throughout the year.

Kickoff ticket sales for the public will be available on Sept. 27. The first batch of physical tickets will be available at Startup Trivia Night, a night for startup geniuses to test their knowledge on the startup culture and specific startups in Toronto and Hollywood. For the price of $5, attendees get pizza, and unlimited beer, wine and snacks. All proceeds from Startup Trivia Night go to HoHoTO in aid to support the YWCA Toronto’s Girls’ Centre.

We’re looking for volunteers to help drive regular, group, and student ticket sales, spread the word online, or help at the day of the event. If you’re interested in lending some time before or the night of the event, please reach out to volunteers@hohoto.ca.

We look forward to seeing you this year!
